Astrology on Social Networking boosters

Astrology is one of the oldest science available to mankind or I should rather say a Pseudoscience*. Every religion of the world has followed the fundamental principle of astrology known as "Future Prediction". Those who do not agree, these words will help you: Doomsday, Pralaya, Judgment Day, Day of Judgment, Kayamath.

Astrology believes in the effects of relative position of the celestial bodies (Moon, planets, sun and other stars) on individual's behavior, character, personality and, interpersonal and materialistic interactions. Various astrological viewpoints Indian, Chinese, African and Western use celestial positioning for "Future Prediction" and to offer solutions.

Practitioner of "Future Prediction" is known as "Astrologer" (prophesier or fortuneteller or magus or palmist or oracle or soothsayer or sorcerer). He/She makes inroads in your mind by cementing the trust. Telling a bit of your past history as the first exercise, predicting name alphabets of friends and family, your past locations, journeys, injuries, ailments and, personal and professional relations. Second trust building exercise involves telling about the future aspirations of an individual like, professional goals, personal desires, objectives, journeys, foreign-trips, health-hazards and risks (climbing mountain can break bones, logical). I can go on to the third exercise but that is not the point of this blog.

Past can be illuminated with the lights of Future

Along with celestial bodies astrology has a new addendum in 21st century, called Social Networking. "Schools of Astrology" should add Social Networking as a secret subject in the curriculum. Online profile is an open essay of a "Netizen" flooded with messaged communications. Multiple profiles on different social networking websites combined together have enough information to write a book (with photographs) on this "Netizen". Finding similar/overlapping profiles is no rocket science; all it needs is some good data mining techniques, image recognition, paid accounts with social networking websites. Astrologers can also benefit from such services, and from the online-companies managing the online-brand image of individuals (More...). Buy such services and you (Astrologer) are never going to fail in your tricks.

Netizens give away details about their personalities, interests, and experiences and, all the details pertaining to their personal and professional lives, online. Messages, communications, geo-tagging and blogs contain more than enough information to predict your future move. Even if you are cautious, friends and family might be pretty generous about distributing information about you. Does not matter what celestial bodies point to (God damn astrophysics), success of astrology in new era is related to Social Networking. Since netizens are not going to be cautious of their online privacy (More...) and astrologers haven't given up this profession since beginning of mankind, this is a winning trail for the astrology business.

Nielsen reported that 80% of online users in Brazil are registered on social networks, followed by Spain with 75%, Italy 73% and Japan 70%**. Social networking is well penetrated and most widely used phenomenon on the web after emailing and Googling. Ironically, Kids, teens and Ojisans, who are cynical about privacy in personal lives let it run haywire as netizens. So, even the most scientific astrologers (so called), who selectively quote Isaac Newton and its "Universal theory of gravitation", do not have to worry about more explanations. Just stay social networking savvy.

Next time an astrologer impresses you with his mystical skills, do not be surprised. Remember, they have learnt the mantra of success: "Past can be illuminated with the lights of Future". Mr. Astrologer might be having super fast computer with Internet connection under his table or behind his traditional wardrobe or horrific makeup panel. Your social networking generosity on Twitter, Linkedin, Orkut, Myspace, Blogger or such dotcoms has already fed his impressive knowledge. In nutshell, Astrology is on Social Networking boosters.
